Irene E. (Swaney) Mull

Irene E. Mull, age 92, of Winfield, formerly long time resident of Wheaton, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Winfield Wood Health Care Center with her loving family by her side.

She was born April 5, 1927 in Benton Harbor, Michigan, the daughter of Joseph and Ida (Burns) Swaney.

Irene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her daughter Pam (Ronald) Petersen of Maryville, MO; daughter-in-law Margaret Mull of Carol Stream; grandchildren Ronnie Petersen, Kelly (Matt) O’Riley, Samantha (Nick) Mugavero, and Robert (Laurie) Mull; great grand-children Tyler and Mia Mugavero, London Mull, Cristian and Luca Fanelli, Michael and Kaitlyn O’Riley, and Noah and Emily Petersen; and many other dear relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert who passed away in 2010, and her Son Lawrence in 2013.

Visitation for Irene will be held Monday, March 9, 2020 from 9:00 am until the time of her funeral service at 11:00 am at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva.

Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Gardens West in Oakbrook Terrace.
