Hester (Willis) Zaccanti

Hester Zaccanti, age 79, of Geneva, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020 at The Grove of Fox Valley surrounded by her family.

She was born September 11, 1941, in Chicago, the daughter of Sidney and Netty (Grudsky) Willis.

Hester enjoyed ceramic painting and fishing with her husband.  She also loved cooking and camping as often as possible.  She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved spending time with her family and her dog Princess, she will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her sons Sheldon (Caren) of Springfield and Bruce (Denise) of Geneva; grandchildren Sydney, Joshua, Noah, Samantha Dobratz, Johnathan, and Samuel; great granddaughter Zoey; brother Stephen Willis of Geneva; Sydney, Joshua, and Noah’s mother Rosemary; and many other dear relatives and friends.

Hester was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband of 54 years Laurence who passed away in 2015.

A graveside service for Hester will be held Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at noon at Westlawn Cemetery, 7801W. Montrose Avenue, Norridge. West lawn cemetery has limited services to 20 people at the grave site due to Covid.  Please contact the family if you plan to attend.
