Gloria L. Larocca

Gloria L. Larocca, age 89, of Batavia, formerly of Geneva, passed away Wednesday December 9, 2020 at Delnor Hospital surrounded by her family.

She was born May 14, 1931 in Peoria, the daughter of Lester and Bertha Tracy.

Gloria enjoyed planning and hosting social events and family reunions. She was an avid and talented Bridge player. Many of her dearest friendships were made while playing cards and participating in many Bridge clubs. Early in life Gloria also enjoyed fishing and spent many hours with her husband Frank on Diamond Lake on their pontoon boat, The Early Dawn. However, her greatest pastime was spending time with her family and friends. 

She is survived by her children Tracy (Kevin) Serra of Geneva and Tyler (Lynda) of Crystal Lake; grandchildren Lauren, Ally, and Nikki Serra and Frankie and Becca Larocca; and many dear nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Frank who passed away in 2013, and sisters Geraldine Radeke and Betty Vachon. 

A Funeral Mass for Gloria will be held Thursday, December 17, 2020 at 10:30 am at St. Peter Catholic Church, 1891 Kaneville Road, Geneva, Illinois, with Father Jonathan Bakkelund, Celebrant. 

Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Geneva.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service held later in the spring.
