Glenn A. Roon, Sr.

Glenn A. Roon, Sr, age 95, of Batavia, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Ekstam Assisted Living with his loving family by his side.

He was born December 21, 1926, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the son of Siets and Alice (Van Single) Roon.

Glenn enjoyed gardening, roses, and traveling.  His favorite pastime was spending time with his family and he will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his children Janet (William) Henderson of Colorado, Glenn (Jeanne) Roon, Jr. of Indiana, Steven (Cindy) Roon of Macomb, Barb (Gary) Suits of St. Charles, and David (Carole) Roon of St. Charles; stepchildren Tom (Kathy) Johnson of Michigan, Tim (Alice) Johnson of Joliet, and Joe (Nancy) Johnson of Lombard; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; and other dear relatives and friends.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, the mother of his children June, his second wife Eloise, and his sisters Lina Mae Sigler and Marjory Bell.

A visitation for Glenn will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2022 from 10:30 am until the time of his Funeral Service at 11:30 am at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva with Father Jonathan Bakkelund officiating. 

Burial will follow at St. Adalbert Catholic Cemetery in Niles.
