Gerda D. Evans

Gerda D. Evans, age 96, of Geneva, passed away Friday, July 17, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born May 20, 1924, in Germany, the daughter of Ernst and Martha (Krenka) Albrecht.

Gerda was a volunteer at Delnor Hospital and worked at Cetron Richardson Electronics for many years. She was a great baker who enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her two children David (Cynthia) Evans of Batavia and Suzanne (Carl Beyer) Evans of Hawaii; grandchildren Matthew (Sue) Evans, Scott Evans, Justin (Allie) Beyer, Eric (Fiancee Marisa) Beyer, and Adam (Kate) Beyer; great grandchildren Austin, Andrew, Zachary, and Mason Evans, Lily and Quinn Beyer, and Ethan Evans.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Erich and Erwin Albrecht, and her husband Ralph. 

Visitation for Gerta will be held Thursday, July 23, 2020 at Geneva Lutheran Church, 301 S.Third Street, Geneva from 9:00 am until the time of her funeral service at 11:00 am with Pastor Trudy Stoffel officiating.  Due to restrictions surrounding social distancing, standards of occupancy will be upheld. To attend please be prepared to wear a mask and/or wait if occupancy standards need to be met before entering.

Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Geneva.
