George F. Havlicek, Jr.

George F. Havlicek Jr, age 92, of Geneva, formerly of West Chicago, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2025, surrounded by his family.

He was born October 22, 1932, in Chicago, the son of George F. Sr. and Florence (Horan) Havlicek.

George enjoyed golf, fishing, and traveling.  His greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with his wife Arlene of 68 years, his family, and friends.  He will be missed.

He is survived by his children Regina (Arne) Swanson of Aurora, George (Lynn) Havlicek III of Geneva, Janine Henning of Geneva, and Jennifer (Ken) Shelton of Elburn; grandchildren Carly (Bill) Marshall, Ian (Rachel) Swanson, Annie (Manuel) Havlicek de Sanchez, Alex (Jillian) Serrato, Jerry (Ashley) Henning, Grace (Doug) Rosenstein, Rachelle (Zak) Kates, and Alexa and Samantha Shelton; 14 great grandchildren; and many other dear relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Arlene (Alexa) Havlicek of 68 years, son Joseph “Joey” Havlicek, and grandson Greg Havlicek.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 23, 2025 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, June 24 at 10:30 am at Malone Funeral Home.
