Gail Ann Jaeger passed away Monday, December 28, 2020 in Geneva, Illinois.
She was born April 28, 1956, in Kaneville, Illinois the daughter of Kenneth and Iva (Knopp) Rapp.
She was a mother, wife, sister, daughter, friend, and incredible human being. Always putting herself last, she was selfless and tirelessly took care of her family and others. Gail loved nature and spent countless hours in the spring and summer working on her garden and yard, which would receive compliments from neighbors and friends who saw all the beautiful work she put into her home. Always asking everyone what they wanted to eat, she enjoyed cooking and making homemade meals for everyone around her. If you looked at her bookshelf, you would see all the archeology and history books she read in her chair. You would also see large binders that held her research, which told the stories and ancestry of our family for hundreds of years. Her bible, always resting next to her chair at all times, filled with bookmarks and all. Being as strong and selfless as she was, Gail gave every fiber of her being making sure others were taken care of, even if she was sick or tired. She never gave up and her strength and love carries on forever.
Gail is survived by her husband Timothy Jaeger; her sisters Donna Kohley, Julia Grommes, and Leola Sutherland; her children Laura McCarney-Zahour and Luke Jaeger.
She was preceded by her parents Kenneth and Iva Rapp; her sister Diana Fabris; and her son, Michael McCarney. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ashely McCarney, Jake McQuinley, Eli McQuinley, Nicci McCarney, Haley McCarney, Cheyenne McCarney, Chloe McCarney, and Nathan Rose.
Thank you to her sister-in-law, Kathy Jaeger, and the hospice care team that delivered loving and wonderful care for Gail every minute of every day. Thank you.
