Frank J. Masa

Frank J. Masa, age 89, of Downers Grove, passed away Monday, June 18, 2018 at Delnor Hospital in Geneva surrounded by his family.

He was born July 23, 1928 in Chicago, the son of Julius and Ceiala (Ellis) Masa.

Frank proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.  He worked as a printer for R.R. Donnely.  He loved to collect model railroad trains and was an avid member of the Model Railroad Club of Elmhurst.   Frank was a devoted father and brother and will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his daughter Bernadette (Joe) Somenek of Elburn; brother Gerald Masa of Washington; and many other dear friends and relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents Julius and Ceiala (Ellis) Masa and sister Maria Andrews.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 25, 2018 from 4:00 pm until the time of his funeral service at 7:30 pm at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street, Geneva.

Funeral service and burial with full military honors will be held Tuesday, June 26 at 10:30 am at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Road, Elwood.
