Evelyn Nancy "Evie" Bennett

Evelyn Nancy “Evie” Bennett, age 72, of Elgin, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Azura Memory Care of Oak Creek, Wisconsin.

She was born March 15, 1947, in Chicago, the daughter of William and Evelyn (Wagner) Hagstrom.

She was preceded in death by her parents (William and Evelyn), brother (William) and loving husband, Barry of 33 years who passed away in January.

Evie split her time between homes in Illinois and Florida.  She had a lifetime interest in fashion and design, was an avid golfer often playing alongside her husband, loved to play Mah Jongg, card games and Scrabble.  She and her husband loved to socialize, dine with friends and family and travel.  Evie was known to all as kind, caring and compassionate. 

She is survived by her sister Virginia (Roger) Peterson of Beecher and brother-in-law Warren Bennett of Connecticut and many other dear nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Funeral Service for Evie will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at 10:00 am at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street, Geneva with Pastor Brian Coffey officiating.

Burial will follow at North Cemetery in St. Charles.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 4 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Malone Funeral Home.
