Edward Anthony Krecicki

Edward Anthony Krecicki, age 94, of St. Charles, formerly of Chicago, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Seasons Hospice Center in Naperville surrounded by his family.

He was born November 13, 1926, in Poland, the son of Ignacy and Stanislawa (Marchwat) Krecicki.

Edward worked in a machine shop for many years and loved to ride his scooter around the neighborhood.  However, his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family and friends.  He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years Josephina (Thönnissen); son Fred (Toni) of West Chicago; grandchildren Fred Jr. (Vanessa) of Addison, Joseph (Anna Marie) of Addison, and Jamie (Sam) Battaglia of Bloomingdale; great-grandchildren Freddy III, Francesca, and Fiona; and Sammy, Freddy, and Frankie; and many other dear relatives and friends.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, son Ignatius Krecicki, and two sisters.  

A visitation will be held Friday December 18, 2020 at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Rt. 38) Geneva from 9:00 until the time of his Funeral Service at 11:30 am with Father Jonathan Bakkelund officiating.  Due to the current health care restrictions, standards of occupancy will be upheld. To attend please be prepared to wear a mask and/or wait if occupancy standards need to be met before entering. We kindly ask that you immediately exit the funeral home after briefly paying your respects to the family so that others may have the same opportunity.

Burial will be private at St. Adalbert Catholic Cemetery in Niles, Illinois
