Donald E. Novack

Donald E. Novack, age 90, of North Aurora, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born August 28, 1934, in Aurora, Illinois, the son of John and Grace (Rohrer) Novack.

Don was a successful businessman and co-owner of Fox River Tire & Supply until retirement where he spent his time with his beloved wife, Dori, traveling and enjoying family and friends. You could always find him at any of the various local antique car shows with his prize possession, Hudson Hornet and wearing his silly hats.

He was a caring man that always wanted to put a smile on your face and offer a kind word. Nothing was more important to him than his family and friends and living life to the fullest.

He is survived by two of his children James M. of Rochelle and Margaret M. “Peggy” (Tony) Azzaro of Batavia; grandchildren Emalee and Alex Azzaro, Stephanie Kuffel, and James Michael Novack; brother Robert (Marsha) Novack; and survived by many relatives and friends as well as the local vintage car community.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Dorinda (Dori), son in infancy Daniel G., son Michael J., brother Richard, daughter-in-law Robin, and sister Roseanne Spoden.

A visitation will be held Friday, June 13, 2025 from 9:30 am until the time of his celebration of funeral mass at 10:30 am at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 801 Oak Street, North Aurora, with Father Max Lasrado celebrant.

Burial will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood on June 17 at noon.
