Dolores M Bellendir

Dolores M. Bellendir, age 79, of Geneva, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at her residence in Geneva surrounded by her loving family.

She was born October 4, 1940 in Chicago, the daughter of Benamino and Parisina (Sansonetti) Rufo.

Dolores loved to play volleyball, softball, and was a fan of all Chicago sports teams.  She was an avid reader and gardener.  Dolores loved to shop at garage sales, collect antiques, and had a wonderful eye for artwork.  Her greatest pastime, however, was spending time with her family and she will be dearly missed.

She is survived by devoted husband of 57 years Gerald; children Denise Bellendir of Geneva, Jacqueline Bellendir-Hansen of Geneva, John (Jennifer) of Geneva, and Phyllis (Doug Brauer) Domena of Batavia; grandchildren Luca & Cecilia Hansen, Gabrielle Domena, and Spencer Brauer; siblings John (Dea) Rufo of Berwyn and Jacqueline Rufo-Ford of North Carolina; and many dear relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service will be held privately with Father Charles Warren officiating.

Burial will be held privately at Oak Hill Cemetery in Geneva.

In lieu of flowers memorials would be appreciated to Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr. Tampa, FL 33607.
