Devra L. Wagner Obituary

Devra White Wagner, age 75, passed away on Tuesday, March 31st, 2020.  Devy was born in Aurora, Illinois to Joseph White and Phyllis (Nelson) Thelander on March 27, 1945. 

She attended St. Pat’s Grade School in St. Charles, Il, Edison High School in Tulsa Ok and graduated from Batavia High School, Class of 1963.  She later went on to attend Aurora University.  She worked at many diļ¬€erent companies in the Fox Valley Area doing clerical work.  Her life changed after the birth of her son Troy and divorce.  She moved to Chicago and spent the remainder of her life there working and raising her son. 

Devy was an intelligent, caring, artistic, person with a love for photography.  She had a keen eye in photographing the Chicago’s homeless and over the years she had many of her photographs published. 

She is survived by her son, Troy Wagner, her sisters; Cheryl Blakesley, Connie Porter, Jodi (Mike Lirot) White; her brothers Todd Dillon, and Scott (Jan) Dillon, and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph White and Phyllis Thelander.

Due to the current social gathering restrictions, funeral services will be private.  A celebration of Devy’s life will be planned at a future date.
