Dennis A. Sourile

Dennis A. Sourile, age 82, of Sleepy Hollow, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2024 at Crystal Pines Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Crystal Lake.

He was born September 26, 1941, in Chicago, the son of Charles and Josephine (LaForte) Sourile.

Dennis was a loving husband, a caring father, and a proud Papa. A loyal friend and helpful neighbor to many. Dennis had a passion for building birdhouses and was a hell of a swing dancer. To the very end, he was a proud Local 1 IronWorker.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years Kennita (Schlorf); children David Sourile, Lisa (Damon) Theodorou, and Anne Jackson; Kennita’s children Melissa (Jeff) Thompson, Kristen (Brian) Glasgow, and Coleen (Michael) Laramie; his 13 dear grandchildren; sisters Marianne Toton and Darlene Sourile; and many other dear relatives and friends. 

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, brother Joseph, and son Steven. 

Visitation will be held Sunday, August 18, 2024 from 3:00 – 7:00 pm at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva.

Funeral service will be held Monday, August 19 at 11:00 am at Malone Funeral Home with Father Sean Grismer officiating.

Entombment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
