Dennis Skulborstad

February 8, 1952 ~ March 17, 2020 (age 68)


Dennis R. Skulborstad, age 68, of Geneva, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at home with his loving family at his side.

 He was born February 8, 1952 in Belvidere, the son of Parnell and Elaine (Tufto) Skulborstad.  Growing up, Dennis enjoyed many sports, particularly basketball, but in later years spent most of his spare time fly fishing, golfing, and enjoying his family. 

Dennis graduated from Hinsdale Central High School in 1970, DePauw University in 1974, and received his MBA from the University of Chicago in 1987.  He was the president and owner of The Skully Group, an affiliate of the Synergy Companies, a professional employment organization, where he served on the board of directors, helping with the capitalization and growth of the company over the past 30 years.

 Dennis is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years Eva (Harvanek); sons Erik (Lauren) of Mequon, WI and Stephen of Geneva; grandchildren Madison and Elle; brothers Jay (Judy) of Barrington, and Jon of Naples, FL; father Parnell of Naples, FL; and many other dear relatives and friends.

 He was preceded in death by his mother.

 Funeral service for Dennis will be held privately.
