Dean P. Damolaris, age 57, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2026 at his home in Aurora.
He was born September 11, 1968, in Oak Park, the son of Steve and Noreene J. (Osinski) Damolaris.
Dean is survived by his loving wife of 31 years Kimberly (Rizzo); daughters Devin and Taryn both of Chicago; brothers Steven (Dawn) of Villa Park, Chris (Clarissa) of Naperville, and Greg of Hampshire; and many other dear relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Dean, also known to many as “The Healthinator,” had a passion for all things health and wellness. He led a very active lifestyle and particularly loved biking and rebounding. Dean was the life of the party and was known to always be the first and last on the dance floor. He had a playful sense of humor and was a kid at heart, with a love for arcade games, Star Wars, and the Cincinnati Reds and Chicago Cubs. Dean also adored animals, especially dogs, and often stopped to pet every dog he saw.
He led a social lifestyle and had the ability to make friends with people everywhere he went. Dean cherished those friendships deeply and frequently called or checked in with them. He was the glue that kept family and friends together.
Most importantly, Dean had the biggest heart and always put others first. He was a handyman that could fix anything and was eager to help those around him in any way he could. Dean will be remembered for his charisma, sense of fun, infectious energy that brought joy to all who surrounded him, and the deep love he had for his family and friends.
A visitation for Dean will be held Friday, February 27 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva. The funeral service will also be held at Malone Funeral Home at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 28 with a luncheon to follow. The family welcomes all who would like to attend the visitation, funeral, and luncheon.
