Daniel Anthony Lencioni Obituary

Daniel A. Lencioni, age 66, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, formerly of Geneva, passed away Saturday June 17, 2023, at The Grove in St. Charles.

Daniel was born October 27, 1956,  in Geneva, the son of Charles and Ethel (Sullivan) Lencioni.

Daniel was born and raised in Geneva, where he spent his childhood getting into mischief with his siblings and friends or crossing the street to visit his grandma for dinner.  He enlisted in the Armed Forces at 18 and was stationed in Germany where he was a tank gunner. When he returned home, Daniel worked at his family bar the FireHouse 5 in downtown Geneva. Daniel was a skilled carpenter, always working on home improvement projects and working in his garden with his wife Signe.

In 2013, Daniel and Signe retired down to Port St Lucie, Florida to be closer to his mother Ethel. Daniel was a very active member of the Savannah Club community. He sat as the President and Vice President of the Savannah Club Men’s Club, organized the Memorial Day and Veteran’s Day events and founded the Savannah Club Caregivers group when his wife was diagnosed with advanced Alzheimer’s. Daniel was always the first to help out when anyone needed it. He was well loved in his community. Daniel spent his retired days painting, sitting on his porch feeding the squirrels, and watching M.A.S.H. or Andy Griffith.

Daniel “Dan/Danny” Lencioni was a loving husband of 36 years to Signe (Bergeson); loving father to daughters Danielle Lencioni of Nevada, Sarah Marcrum (Travis) of Elgin, and Erin Enockson (Chris) of St Charles and his son Patrick Lencioni (Andrea) of Iowa.  Daniel’s greatest treasures were his nine grandchildren, Nyah (15), Olivia (14), Charleigh (11), Finnegan (11), Liam (10), Parker (8), Hazel (4), Margaret (4), and Noah (2). He is also survived by his sister Amy (James) of St. Charles; brothers Scott (Susan) of New Hampshire and Christopher of Texas; and many other dear relatives and friends.

Daniel was preceded in death by his mother and father Charles and Ethel Lencioni and his brother Chuck.
