Dana G. Nichols

Dana G. Nichols, age 75, of Geneva, passed away Monday, January 9, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born September 13, 1947, in East St. Louis, Illinois, the daughter of Alfred and Virginia (Forrester) Valentin.

Dana was a graduate of the Norte Dame High School. She was married to Dwight Nichols September 8, 1967, at St. Albert the Great Church in Fairview Heights. She was a long-time member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Geneva and enjoyed volunteering at the food pantry there.

She is survived by her sons Matt (Amy) of Batavia and Craig of Geneva; grandchildren Stephanie, Jenna, and Jason; siblings Vicki Sartory, and Mike and Guy (Linda) Valentin; and many other dear relatives and friends.

Dana was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Dwight who passed away in 2005.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva with a Liturgical Wake Service at 7:45 pm.

Visitation will also be held Sunday, January 15 from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Kassly Mortuary, 9900 Clair Ave, Fairview Heights, Illinois.

Funeral Prayers will be held on Monday, January 16 at 9:00 am at Kassly Mortuary then proceeding to Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 505 Fountains Parkway, Fairview Heights, Illinois for Celebration of Funeral Mass at 10:00 am.

Burial will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Peter Food Pantry, 1891 Kaneville Road, Geneva Illinois, 60134 would be appreciated.
