Damien Chavira

Damien R. Chavira, age 13, of Geneva, passed away Friday, December 27, 2024.

He was born November 20, 2011, in Aurora, the son of Henry and Christina (Jordan)Chavira.

Damien came into this world early and he was a fighter from day one. He kept this fight in him until his very last day on Earth as he fought hard to protect his momma and fought hard to stay earthside. He loved his video games and spending time driving go carts as fast as they would go. He was starting to get into sports with football being his new adventure. He loved his big sister as much as he loved his mom and always wanted to play games with her and be around her and filled the job of annoying little brother perfectly. Damien made his dad and all of us proud how strong he was and his smile that would light up a room will never be forgotten.

He is survived by his father Henry and stepmother Sabrina Chavira; grandmothers Colleen Hammett, Bonnie Trosky and Donna Short; siblings Aubrey Chavira, step-siblings  Dorothy, Michael, Connor, Anthony, and Logan Vitro; loving uncle to Sabrinarose, Michael, Ali, Sam and Jackson Vitro, many Aunts, Uncles and other dear relatives and friends.

A visitation for Damien will be held Friday, January 3, 2025 from 4:00 pm until the time of his memorial service at 7:30 pm at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva.
