Christine A. Stevenson Obituary

Christine Ann Milanovich, age 84, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2026. She was born March 2, 1941, and lived a life marked by warmth, curiosity, and deep connections with everyone she met.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, David Stevenson; her loving children, Jennifer and John (Beth); grandchildren Annabel and Ally; her brother, Fred (Linda) Milanovich, and so many dear cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Stephanie Milanovich, and her brother, John Milanovich.

She had a lifelong passion for sports and was an enthusiastic fan of all Pittsburgh teams, college basketball, and Air Force athletics, though her favorite pastime was watching her grandchildren play volleyball, soccer, and run track. Outside of the game, she found joy in the rhythm of Motown music, traveling - especially to Disney World, tending to her gardens, and preparing meals for the people she loved. She was an avid reader who especially enjoyed Tarzan books, and she stayed active by working out at the local gym. She also loved visiting the local zoo, delighting in animals with the same curiosity and enthusiasm she brought to everything in life.

One of her greatest gifts was her ability to make meaningful connections everywhere she went. Whether at the grocery store, Starbucks, ‘the Y’, or Air Force sporting events, she turned everyday interactions into lasting friendships. She had a rare way of making people feel seen, welcomed, and valued.

She will be remembered for her kindness, her energy, her sense of fun, and the deep love she had for her family and friends. Her presence will be profoundly missed and forever cherished by those who knew her.

We plan to celebrate her life on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Malone Funeral home, 324 E. State Street, in Geneva, IL.  There will be a visitation from 1:00 pm until the time of her Memorial Celebration of Life ceremony beginning at 2:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages a donation to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs, one of her favorite places on earth, https://www.cmzoo.org/support/
