Chester Pelszynski

Chester Pelszynski, age 93, of North Port, Florida, formerly of Arlington Heights, passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born January 7, 1928 in Jadeszki, Poland, the son of Stanislaw and Monika (Andraka) Pelszynski.

Chester loved to travel and was a master at fixing anything that broke.  However, his greatest pastime was spending time with his family and friends, he will be dearly missed.

Chester is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Wanda (Klimaszewski); Daughters Lucy (Robert) Devermann of Batavia and Diana (Miguel) Orjuela of Batavia; grandchildren Emily Risner, Alexis Orjuela, Samantha Orjuela, Sam Devermann, and Zak Devermann; also daughter Krystyna (Wlodek) of Krakow, Poland and granddaughters Bogumila and Marta; 4 great-grandchildren; and many other dear relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandson, Nicholas Orjuela, and his 5 siblings Walerek, Arnold, John, Leon and Celina.

Visitation will be held Sunday, May 2, 2021 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva, Illinois with a liturgical wake service at 4:45 with Deacon Greg D’Anna officiating.

Funeral Prayers will be held Monday, May 3, at 9:30 am at the Malone Funeral Home proceeding to St. Peter Catholic Church, 1891 Kaneville Road, Geneva, for celebration of Funeral Mass at 10:30 am with Father Jonathan Bakkelund, Celebrant.

Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Geneva, Illinois.

Due to the current health care restrictions, standards of occupancy will be upheld. To attend, please be prepared to wear a mask and/or wait if occupancy standards need to be met. We kindly ask that you immediately exit the funeral home after paying your respects to the family so that others may have the same opportunity.
