Charlotte M Earl

Charlotte M. Earl, age 90, of Geneva, passed away Friday, September 27, 2024 at Greenfields of Geneva surrounded by her family.

She was born July 20, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Arthur and Mary (Huspen) Steinberg.

Charlotte truly knew how to enjoy life through the simple pleasures of being with her family and friends. She enjoyed vacations and having a good chat over ice cream. Charlotte was known to have a creative mindset in different forms of art, whether it be quilting, painting, or crocheting. You could often find her enjoying a good book with a cup a tea, figuring out a puzzle, or playing cards with her close friends. Charlotte’s quick wit and smile will be truly missed here on earth as she is reunited with her beloved Husband Edward and Daughter Linda.  

Charlotte is survived by her two sons Steven (Kathleen) of Geneva and Edward (Margaret) of Downers Grove; grandchildren Samantha (Kevin) Odom, Shannon (Jon) Carriero, Stephanie (David) Hurwich, and Katie Earl; and many great-grandchildren. Charlotte is also survived by siblings Arthur (Anne) Steinberg, Barbara Steinberg-Russell, and Carol (late John) Keporas and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Linda Staros in 1993, husband Edward in 2010, and sister Mary (Thomas) Ivan.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 1, 2024 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Rtoute 38), Geneva with a Liturgical Service at 7:45 pm.

Funeral prayers will be held Wednesday, October 2 at 10:00 am at Malone Funeral Home proceeding to St. Peter Catholic Church, 1891 Kaneville Road, Geneva for Celebration of Life Funeral Mass at 11:00 am with Father Sean Grismer Celebrant.  Please click on link to live stream the service. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TSQFe4aHgE0

Interment will be held privately at St. Mary Cemetery Evergreen Park.
