Charlene V. Kerman, age 79, of St. Charles IL, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Delnor Hospital in Geneva.
She was born October 3, 1943, in Evergreen Park IL, the daughter of Alphonse and Valerie (Miknis) Normant. Charlene graduated from Mother of Sorrows High School in 1961. She began her career as an Executive Assistant. Charlene married David Kerman on August 20, 1966, and soon after she devoted her life to raising her family. They spent the past 35 years in Homer Glen IL, until their recent move to St. Charles IL.
Charlene was kindhearted, thoughtful, and loving. She was a caring, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose life was centered around her family and dear friends. She used her gifts to take care of those closest to her and was always the first to lend a helping hand. It was important to her to make everyone around her feel special and welcome, whether it was having a bowl of freshly popped popcorn when you arrived or spending hours baking your favorite treats. Her love shined through in her baking and hospitality, and she always thought of others before herself. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years David; children Maureen (Kent) Dahlgren of Wayne IL, Mark (Debra) Kerman of Elburn IL, and Amy (Patrick) Gutzmer of Geneva IL; grandchildren Alexandra Dahlgren and Kayleigh and Elisabeth Kerman; brother Robert (Gerri Hodson) Normant; and many other loving relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law Jeannie Normant.
