Charlene Lucken, age 82, of Aurora, passed away Friday, November 22, 2019, at Mercy Center Hospital in Aurora.
She was born April 12, 1937, the daughter of Charles and Rose (Onorato) Woods.
Charlene first worked as a hairstylist and then as a receptionist at the Kane County Sheriff’s Office and Dupage County Assessor’s Office. She had many hobbies and enjoyed spending her time doing rose pens, ceramics, and going on casino bus trips. Charlene also loved to give gifts as she was a thoughtful shopper and generous gift giver; but, her greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her family and friends and she will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her daughters Sheila (Donald) McCombs of Arizona and Julie Lynch of Aurora; grandchildren Dustin (Liz) Ledermann, Palmer and Clair Lynch; partner Richard Marion; sister Joan (John) Kotvan of Carol Stream; and many other dear relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Edward Lucken in 1997.
Visitation for Charlene will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2019, from 12:00 pm until the time of her funeral service at 2:00 pm at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva.
Burial will follow at Warrenville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Plaza, Memphis, Tennessee 38105, would be appreciated.
