She was born October 14, 1948, in Joliet, the daughter of Benedict and Helen (Mandzuk) Cabay.

Cathy volunteered in many roles over the years, but two of her favorites were Hope for Haitians, an organization that serves the poor with housing and access to education; and being a literacy volunteer, teaching English as a second language to adults.

Cathy enjoyed playing golf in a lady’s league at Valley Green Golf Course.  She also liked scrapbooking and making Christmas and Birthday cards from scratch.

For several years Cathy was a part of a Bible Study group at St. Patricks church in St. Charles.  She was also a Eucharistic Minister there as well.

Cathy enjoyed traveling with her husband, visiting many places in the world, including visiting her grandparents’ home town in Europe.

She is survived by her husband Tony of 52 years; children Mark (Sara) Restaino and Kristen (Darwin) Davis; grandchildren Carter and Macy; brother Ronald (Robin) Cabay; and many other dear relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother John Cabay.
