Carol Jean Vinopal, age 66, of Bolingbrook, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021, at home with her loving family by her side.
She was born April 17, 1955, in Oak Park, the daughter of John and Jean (Siedleski) Lawler.
Carol worked for OSI in Aurora, she loved to read and do needlepoint. Her favorite pastimes were spending time with her family, friends, and her dogs. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years James Vinopal Jr, children Colleen (John) Miller of LaGrange Park and Brian Norton of Joliet; grandchildren Gavin Haymond, Jake and Zachary Miller, and Kaylee and Jase Norton; siblings Beverly (Barry) Cichanski of Wisconsin; Jim’s children James (Pam) Vinopal of Wisconsin and Charles (Cameron) Vinopal of Joliet; sister-in-law Marilyn Lawler of Wisconsin; mother and father-in-law James and Helen Vinopal of Downers Grove; nieces and nephews Amanda Paeth and Adam Cichanski; great nieces Madelyn and Alana Paeth; and many other dear relatives and friends.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents and brother Ray Lawler.
Funeral Prayers for Carol will be held Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 9:30 am at McCauley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 530 W. Boughton Road, Bolingbrook proceeding to St. Dominic Catholic Church, 440 E. Briarcliff Road, Bolingbrook for Celebration of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am with Father Bill Conway Celebrant.
Interment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 22 from 3:00 – 8:00 pm at McCauley-Sullivan Funeral Home in Bolingbrook.
