Carol Ann Gelfer

Carol Ann Gelfer, 76 passed away after an extended battle with cancer that lasted 7 years. Born in New York City, Carol was raised in Larchmont, New York. and settled in Redding, Connecticut with her family until relocating to Glen Ellyn in 1993. In 2000 she made the move to West Chester, Pennsylvania until finally settling in Geneva, Illinois in 2013.

Carol was a 1968 graduate of Mt St Mary College in Newburgh, New York. Carol had a successful real estate career in both Redding, Connecticut and Glen Ellyn, Illinois for 20 years

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, George; her sister Germaine Sullivan of Harrison New York, her sons George and his wife Sandy of Glen Ellyn and Colin and his wife Anne of Glen Ellyn. Carol had four grandchildren Annie of Costa Mesa California along with Jack, Fred and June of Glen Ellyn.

Visitation for Carol will be held Saturday July 15, 2023 from 9:00 am until time of funeral prayers at 10:30 am at the Malone Funeral Home 324 East State St. (Rt. 38) Geneva proceeding to St. Peter Catholic Church 1891 Kaneville Rd. Burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery in Geneva.
