Caitlin Marie Gallagher

Caitlin Marie Gallagher, age 17, of Geneva, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2022.

She was born September 17, 2004, the daughter of Thomas and Michelle (Mikolay) Gallagher.

Caitlin went to St. Peter Grade school and was a junior at Geneva High School.  She enjoyed track, basketball, volleyball, water sports, skateboarding, dancing, sunsets, and spending time with her precious aussiedoodle Phoebe.  Caitlin loved intensely and excelled at everything she did.  From the moment Caitlin was born we knew she was destined for great things and she did not disappoint. She was a bright ray of sunshine to everyone who knew her. 

She is survived by her parents; brothers Andrew and Ryan; maternal grandparents Susanne and Raymond “Mick” Mikolay; uncles and aunts William and Christi Gallagher, Robert and Cara Gallagher, Maureen (Moe) Ferguson, Beth Ann (Jason) Mikolay, Nicole and Travis Campbell, and Scott and Jessica Madsen; cousins Timothy, Kathryn, Victoria, Michael, Monica, Daniel, Madeline, Landon, Tyler, Bryant, and Harper.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Joseph and Janet Gallagher, and her maternal uncle Jason Mikolay.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 24, 2022 from 3:30 – 8:00 pm at St. Peter Catholic Church, 1891 Kaneville Road, Geneva.

Celebration of Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, May 25 at 10:30 am at St. Peter Catholic Church with Father Jonathan Bakkelund celebrant.
