Becky L. Furnish, age 63, of Geneva, passed away Friday, July 17, 2020 at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield.
She was born December 30, 1956, in Paris, Illinois, the daughter of Clifford and Sally (Reed) Cunningham.
Becky taught 14 years at Queen Bee School and 27 years in the Geneva School District. She selflessly volunteered her time to local organizations throughout the Fox Valley area. Becky loved to travel and instilled in her daughters that collecting memories will outlast everything else. She had formed beautiful relationships with friends, and she loved all the time spent with them. Becky was a beloved Nana to her three little ‘buddies’ whom she cherished every day. She lives on in them. She will be dearly missed.
Becky is survived by her husband Larry; two daughters Sarah (Richard) Ricchio of Batavia and Emily (Derek) Rosen of Geneva; grandchildren Olivia, Giuliana and Grace; siblings Bethany (Charlie) Hubbard and Buddy Cunningham both of Paris, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Belinda Bates and Devona Cunningham.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 23, 2020 from 3:00 - 7:00 pm at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State St. (Route 38), Geneva.
Due to the current health care restrictions involving Covid-19 and social distancing, we are limited to a gathering of 50 people at a time, standards of occupancy will be upheld. To attend please be prepared to wear a mask and/or wait if occupancy standards need to be met before entering.
Funeral service and burial will be held Friday, July 24 at 1:00 pm at Embarrass Cemetery in Redmond, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to AID, 309 New Indian Trail Court, Aurora, Illinois 60506 would be appreciated.
