Barbara Kurth, 82, of Geneva, passed away peacefully Monday, July 25, 2022, at Delnor Hospital with her loving family by her side.
She was born June 26, 1940, in Chicago, the daughter of Roy and Florence (Catalano) Thompson.
Barbara was a devoted wife and mother who loved nothing more than to chat with friends and family over a good meal. After raising her four children, Barbara worked in retail for several years at the iconic Geneva Girl shop in Geneva, IL. She also earned a real estate license and took great pleasure in helping young couples create their dream starter homes. Barbara was also a court-appointed special advocate for children in the court system.
She is survived by her children David of Chicago, Dana (Jeff) Christensen of Geneva, Drew (Dianne) and Dean both of New York; grandchildren Reiss and Jace Christensen, and Evan, Katie, and Alex Kurth; and many other dear relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her devoted husband of 58 years Paul who passed away earlier this year.
Funeral Prayers will be held Monday, August 8, 2022 at 9:30 am at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva proceeding to St. Peter Catholic Church, 1891 Kaneville Road, Geneva for celebration of funeral mass at 10:30 am with Father John McFadden celebrant.

Burial will be held privately at Resurrection Cemetery in Geneva.
Visitation will be held Sunday, August 7, 2022 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at Malone Funeral Home.
