Antima L. Troiani, age 90, of Batavia, formerly of Geneva, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2020 at her home in Batavia surrounded by her family.
She was born January 13, 1930, in Chicago Heights, the daughter of Bernard and Louise (Razzano) Marks.
Antima was a hairdresser before she worked at Marshall Fields for many years. When she left Marshall Fields, Antima and her husband James owned and operated two Subway Sandwich Shops in Batavia and Geneva. She loved to golf, shop, and cook, however, her favorite pastime was to spend time with her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend to all.
She is survived by her children Brad (Cindy) of Batavia and Gaylynn (Randy) Vacek of St. Charles; grandchildren Brad (Natalie) Troiani, Lisa (T.J.) Ricklefs, Kimberly (Dan) Evans, Taylor Vacek, and Emma Vacek; great grandchildren Mia, Lily, and Joe Evans, Tommy and James Ricklefs; Lucy and Will Troiani; siblings Lorraine Wroblewski of South Holland and Joe (Doris) Marks of Orland Park; and many other dear relatives and friends.
Antima was preceded in death by her parents, sister Lucille Labuda, and dear husband James who passed away in 2016.
Funeral Mass for Antima will be held on Saturday, August 14 at 10:00 am at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 400 Cedar Street, St. Charles with Msg. Dan Deutsch, celebrant
