Angela Motsch, of Batavia and formerly of Geneva, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on December 17, 1938, to Andrew and Margaret (LaCacsio) Favia. Angela graduated from St. Michael’s Central High School in Chicago. She married the love of her life, Jim, and together they raised three children who she was extremely proud of. Angela was the owner and president of a printing business in Westmont for 27 years, but her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren. Known affectionately as “Grandma Ang,” she created cherished traditions and never missed an opportunity to brag about her grandchildren. Family gatherings and holiday celebrations were her pride and joy, always filled with love, laughter, and plenty of food.
Angela will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children Andrea (David) Heeg of Geneva, James (Lori) of Shorewood, and Nick of South Lyon, Michigan; grandchildren Ali, Kathryn (Riley) DeMoss, David, Andrew, Jimmy, Anthony, Ryan, and Dylan; great granddaughter Ruby; sister Rosemary (Lee) Spinner of Palatine; and many other dear relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Joseph, and her devoted husband of 62 years James who passed away in 2022.
A visitation for Angela will be held Monday, November 3, 2025 from 9:00 am until the time of her funeral prayers at 10:30 am at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva proceeding to St. Peter Catholic Church, 1891 Kaneville Road, Geneva for Celebration of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am with Father Ryan Nooraee celebrant. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mercy Home for Boys & Girls in Angela Motsch’s name. Interment will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Geneva.
