Amanda Christine Cecchin

Amanda Christine Cecchin, age 36, of Crystal Lake, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospital with her loving family by her side.

She was born October 19, 1985 in Park Ridge, the daughter of James and Baiba (Spalis) Savage.

Amanda worked as a nanny and special education teacher, she enjoyed spending time with the children she taught.  She loved watching The Real Housewives TV show, listening to Harry Styles, and traveling to the beach.  She had a talent for making people laugh and she loved animals, especially her pets Rodney, Mac, and Greyie. Amanda was a loving wife, daughter, niece, and aunt who will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her husband Norman; sister Lindsay Savage of Mt. Prospect; uncle Ivars Spalis of Oak Lawn; nephew Alex Villagrana; nieces Novella Sisson and Amira Klug; sister-in-laws Jaclyn Affinito and Joanna Klug; father and mother-in-law Norman and Janice of Lake in the Hills; grandmother-in-law Josephine DiGanci; and many other dear relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Imants and Arija Spalis and her paternal grandparents Frank and Barbara Savage.

A funeral Service for Amanda will be held Friday, November 5, 2021 at 11:00 am at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva with Pastor Glen Morden officiating.

Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in St. Charles.

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 4 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at Malone Funeral Home.
