Albert L. Lemak Obituary

Albert L. Lemak, age 90, of Batavia, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield.

He was born April 3, 1930 in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of Louis and Ethel (Buttyan) Lemak.

Albert served his country in the United States Air Force.  He worked for many years as a structural engineer for Sargent & Lundy in Chicago. He was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus Joliet Council.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Mary (Keller); children David (Janice) of Nevada, Mark (Peggy) of California, Diane (John) Hansa of Chicago, and Patricia (James) Sheedy of Bensenville; grandchildren Audrey and Lucas Hansa, Michael Ryan, and Julia and Colleen Lemak; and many other dear relatives and friends.

Albert was proceeded in death by his parents, his sisters Ethel Knuth, Elizabeth Foote, and Ellen Clawson, and his grandchildren Nicholas, Emily and Thomas Lemak.

Visitation for Albert will be held Wednesday, October 14, 2020 from 9:00 - 11:00 am at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva with a funeral service at 11:00 am with Father James Parker officiating.  Due to current health care restrictions involving Covid-19 and social distancing, we are limited to a gathering of 50 people at a time, standards of occupancy will be upheld. To attend please be prepared to wear a mask and/or wait if occupancy standards need to be met before entering.

Private burial at Assumption Cemetery in Wheaton.
