Violet L (Novak) Ivan

Violet L. Ivan, age 87 of Batavia, formerly of Chicago, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Delnor Hospital in Geneva surrounded by family.

She was born November 16, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois, the only child of Frank and MaryAnn (Radostits) Novak.

Throughout her life, Violet found incredible joy in the time she spent with her family and close friends. She will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched.

She is survived by her children Susan Marie (Steven) Sage of Colorado and John (Micheline) Ivan of Batavia; grandchildren Emilee and Ethan; and goddaughter Janet (Vincent) Fiorito of Westchester; and many dear friends.

 Violet was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Albert Frank Ivan and her parents.

A visitation will be held Friday, February 22, 2013 from 4:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 pm at Malone Funeral Home 324 East State Street (Route 38), Geneva.

Burial will be held privately.
