Thomas J. Hennessey

Thomas J. “Tom” Hennessey, age 80, of Geneva, passed away Friday, March 2, 2018 at home with his loving family by his side.

He was born April 13, 1937 in Somerville, Massachusetts, the son of Thomas J. and Helen (Hayes) Hennessey.

Tom proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp.  In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, but his favorite pastime was spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.  Tom was a devoted family man and will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years Marie (Christopher); children Thomas J. (Donna) of Florida and Elaina (Andrew) White of Geneva; grandchildren Drew and Alicia White; sisters Jean (Eugene) Mullens of Massachusetts and Louise Ludwig of Florida; and many other dear relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Celebration of Funeral Mass and interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
