Thomas D. "Tom" Nelson

Thomas David “Tom” Nelson, age 52, of Batavia, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017 while traveling in North Bergen, New Jersey.

He was born June 27, 1965 in Geneva, the son of Paul Richard and JoAnn (Celinder) Nelson.

Tom was a 1983 graduate of Geneva High School.  He was currently working in commercial construction as a project manager.  Tom was an avid Bears and Blackhawks fan and also enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, and boating.  He loved spending time in White Lake, Michigan.  Tom will be dearly missed by his loving family.

He is survived by his parents Paul and JoAnn Nelson of Batavia; brother Eric (Eileen) of Batavia; nieces and nephews Tristan, Ryan, Kathleen, and Jackie; and many other dear relatives and friends.

Memorial Mass will be held Friday, November 17, 2017 at 7:00 pm at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 2300 Main Street, Batavia with Father James Parker celebrant. 

A visitation for Tom will be held Sunday, November 19 at 1:00 pm at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva until the time of his funeral service at 4:00 pm with Rev. Cynthia Anderson officiating.

Burial will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to The American Heart Association 208 S LaSalle St Ste 1500, Chicago, IL 60604 would be appreciated.
