Teresita "Tess" F. Santiago

Teresita F. “Tess” Santiago, age 82, of Geneva, passed away Monday, May 21, 2018 at Delnor Hosptial in Geneva surrounded by her loving family.

She was born July 30, 1935 in The Philippines, the daughter of Angel and Encarnacion (Lleses) Floranda.

Teresita graduated from the University of the East in the Philippines and she taught many years as a High School Biology teacher.  Tess loved to cook and garden, however her greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her friends and family.    

She is survived by her children Jong (Lady) and Greg; grandchildren Jay-jay and Jeli Santiago; siblings Cecilia, Esperidion, Lourdes, Engracia, Rafael, Remedios, Apolinario, Emilia, Vidal, and Reynaldo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Teodoro Sr., who passed away in 2001, and her siblings Angel Jr., Enrico, Milagros and Manuel.

Funeral Prayers for Teresita will be held Tuesday, May 29 at the Malone Funeral home, 324 E. State street Geneva, IL 60134 proceeding to St. Peter Catholic Church, 1891 Kaneville Road, Geneva for a Funeral Mass at 10:30 am with Father Ariel Valencia celebrant.

 Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Geneva.

Visitation will be held Monday, May 28 at Malone Funeral Home from 3:00 to 7:00 pm with a liturgical wake service at 6:45 with Deacon Greg D’Anna officiating.
