Suzanne O (Propst) Hersee

Suzanne O. Hersee, age 96, of Batavia, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Batavia Rehabilitation & Health Care Center.

She was born July 20, 1921 in Chicago, the daughter of Mathias and Ottilia (Dornbach) Propst.

Suzanne served her country in the United States Navy.  She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her daughter Amy Apperson of Batavia; sister Amy Jeskie; grandson Jamie (Becky Weiler fiance); and many dear nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Matt, Johnnie, Louis, Edward, and Richard; and her loving husband Albert who passed away in 2007.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Batavia Congregational Church, 21 S. Batavia Avenue, Batavia from 10:00 am until the time of her memorial service at 11:00 am with Reverend Arthur D. Zillgitt officiating.

Burial will follow at the Congregational Church Memorial Garden.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to H.E.L.P Rescue, P.O. Box 972, St. Charles, Illinois 60174 or Elderday Center, 328 W. Wilson Street, Batavia, Illinois 60510 would be appreciated.
