Steven J. Wengronowitz, age 66, of Geneva, passed away Friday, February 16, 2018 at Delnor Hospital surrounded by his family.
He was born July 25, 1951 in Waseca, Minnesota, the son of Joseph and Theresa (McGannon) Wengronowitz.
Steve is a 1973 graduate of Notre Dame University and worked for many years as a Project Manager at AT&T. He was a devout Catholic, faithfully present at adoration at 4:00 am every Friday. He loved telling funny stories and joking around. He was an avid reader who just recently authored a book about his family and he loved the White Sox. Steve was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Kathy (Dunne); son Keith Steven (Lissa) of Arlington Heights; daughter Anne (Adam) Kaszubski of Cobden, Illinois; daughter Kelly (Ruaidhri) Whitmarsh of Galway, Ireland; and son Bobby (Becky) of Davenport, Iowa; grandchildren Tyler and Cecily Wengronowitz; Evaline, Finn Joseph, and Arthur Kaszubski; Oisin, Oliver Steven, Juno Rosie Whitmarsh; and Zinn Wengronowitz; siblings Shalako (Patty) of California; Paul (Aud) of North Carolina; Jon (Ann) of Minnesota; Lee (Cheri) of California and Dave (Chris) of Minnesota; mother-in-law Jane Dunne, and many other in laws and nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Delia, and his father-in-law, Bob Dunne.
Funeral prayers will be held Wednesday February 21, 2018 at 9:30 am at the Malone Funeral Home 324 E. State St. (Rt. 38) Geneva proceeding to St. Peter Catholic Church 1891 Kaneville Rd. Geneva for Celebration of Funeral Mass at 10:30 am with Fr. Jonathan Bakkelund Celebrant.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 20th, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Malone Funeral Home, Geneva, with a Liturgical service at 7:45 pm.
