Scott B. Brundige, age 93, of Geneva, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield with his loving family by his side.
He was born January 5, 1925 in Geneva, the son of Paul and Mary Jane (Scott) Brundige.
Scott proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a Geneva police officer for over 28 years, retiring as Chief of Police in 1979. He was also a circuit clerk bailiff for over 16 years in Kane County. Scott was a long time member of St. Peter Catholic Church, serving as an usher for many years. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family and he will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his children Marijane (Gary) Freier of Geneva, Kathy (Richard) Tornberg of Elgin, and Jennifer Brundige of Schaumburg; grandchildren Tracey Freier and Carl (Heidi); great grandson Aaron; friend Beverly Larkin; and many other dear friends and family.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents; grandson Scott; daughter Carla in infancy; and devoted wife Deloris who passed away in 2005.
Mass will be celebrated Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 10:30 am at St. Peter Catholic Church, 1891 Kaneville Road, Geneva with Father Richard Kennedy celebrant.
Interment will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Geneva.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 9 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva with a Rosary recited at 7:45 pm.
