Ruth K. Lovig

Ruth K. Lovig, age 79, of Geneva, Illinois, passed away Friday, July 20, 2018 at Delnor Hospital in Geneva, with her loving family by her side.

She was born December 5, 1938 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, the daughter of John and Tannie (Karman) Meyer.

Ruth was a long time member of the Geneva United Methodist Church.  She liked to camp and was an excellent cook and baker.  She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them.  She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years James Jr.; children Tannie (Gary) Foiles, James “Jay” III (Kim), and Chad (Michelle) all of Batavia; grandchildren Trevor and Krista Foiles and James “Jake” IV and Rachael Lovig; brothers Robert (Ursula) of Hawaii and Kenneth (Peggy) of Nevada; and many other dear relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son Dean.

Services for Ruth will be held privately.
