Ralph McGraw Obituary

Ralph O. McGraw, Jr. age 91, of Geneva, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019 at home in Greenfields with his loving family by his side.

He was born December 20, 1927 in Evanston, the son of Ralph and Ellen (Carey) McGraw.

Ralph proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.  He graduated from the University of Illinois and was a member of Chi Psi fraternity, Christy chapter.   He worked as a salesman in the specialty chemicals industry for many years.  Ralph was a world-ranked chess player and was a member of the Manhattan, NY Chess Club.  He was a loving family man and will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years Marianne (Denton); children Victoria of Texas, Jeanne of California, and Ralph III (Zoila) of North Aurora; grandchildren Luis and Julio; and many other dear relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation for Ralph will be held Friday, June 7, 2019 from 10:00 am until the time of his memorial service at 11:30 am at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38) with Fathe Jonathan Bakkelund officiating.

Burial will be held privately.
