Peter J. Horst

Peter J. Horst, age 53, of Chicago, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at his home in Chicago.

He was born July 30, 1965 in Madison, WI, the son of Stanley and Phyllis Ann (McNatt) Horst.

Peter graduated from DePaul University with a J.D. in 2007.  He worked for several years at Sedgwick and then at Clyde and Co. of Chicago.  Peter enjoyed language, math and literature in his spare time.  But his greatest joy came in the time spent with his family and friends and he will be dearly missed.  

He was preceded in death by grandparents Dr. and Mrs. Elmer Horst and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene McNatt.

Peter is survived by his parents Stanley and Phyllis Ann Horst of Geneva; his brother Phillip Horst of Aurora; and many other dear relatives. 

A visitation for Peter will be held Sunday, August 26, 2018 from 1:00 pm until the time of his funeral service at 4:00 pm at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva with Father Jonathan Bakkelund officiating.

Burial will be held Monday, August 27 at 10:30 am at St. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Naperville.  Cemetery is located at the corner of North Avenue and Columbia Street.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to DePaul University College of Law, with a check memo reading “Fund for Law – In Memory of Peter Horst” would be appreciated.
