Mario Trungale

Mario Trungale, age 101, of Geneva, passed away April 28, 2019 at home.

He was born January 14, 1918 in Chicago, the son of Pellegrino “Peno” and Antanina “Lena” (Trapani) Trungale. 

Mario served his county in the United States Army Air Corp.  He was a loving brother and uncle who will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his nephews Joe (Candy) of Batavia and David (Sabrina) of Wisconsin, great nephews Joey (Mary), Jeffrey, and David; and his great niece Andrea (fiancée Steve); dear cousin to the Trinca and Galati families including cousins Fred (Cathy) Galati and Rosalie (Carl) Clause. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister-in-law Nancy, and brothers Joseph and Bennett.

Visitation will be held Saturday May 4, 2019 from 9:00 am until the time his funeral service at 11:00 am at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva.

Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the National World War II Museum, 945 Magazine Street, New Orleans, LA 70130 would be appreciated.
