Lillian D. Pelanek, age 94, of Squaw Lake, Minnesota, formerly of Geneva, passed away Thursday, November 1, 2018 at her home with her family by her side.
She was born April 23, 1924 in Maywood, Illinois, the daughter of William and Katherine (Merow) Wolff.
Lillian worked at Haas Bakery in Geneva for many years and was a waitress at Nelson’s Restaurant in St Charles. She often enjoyed attending baseball games and watching Mickey Mantle of the Yankees play the White Sox, but she was actually a diehard cubs fan. Lillian always made sure that her children attended Sunday school as well as swimming lessons every summer. She also enjoyed spending a week every year at a cottage on Lake Como or Lake Delavan in Wisconsin with her family. She was a loving wife and mother who will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her children Frank (Angelica) of Texas and Nancy (Tim) Schindlbeck of Squaw Lake; grandchildren Kathy, Rick (Susan), Chelska, Gretchen Schindlbeck; great grandchildren Lily and Emmy; and many other dear relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, devoted husband Frank who passed away in 1998, and her son John who passed away in 2015.
Services for Lillian will be held privately.
