John C. Cameron

John C. Cameron, age 64, of Geneva, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born June 19, 1953 in Evanston, the son of Gene and Betty (Burns) Cameron.

John enjoyed a good drink, a good meal, and a good time. He was a personable and methodical person who wanted to laugh and who always believed in doing things correctly. Measure twice, cut once! He loved his dogs, his Notre Dame football, and his family above all else. John is the person who taught Eric how to do things the right way and who was Janice’s best friend. We will miss the dinners, holidays, and blasting TV. All of those were part of our life together and we are inevitably less without him.

John is survived by his ex-wife Janice Cameron; step-son Eric Itzenthaler; siblings Oliver Cameron, Mary Carol Harris, and Joan LaPiana .

He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Elizabeth LaLoggia.

Funeral service will be held Monday, March 26, 2018 at 11:00 am at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva.

Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice.

Visitation will be held Sunday, March 25 from 4:00-8:00 pm at Malone Funeral Home.
