Emylou Cutter, age 80, of Geneva, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at her home.
She was born February 24, 1938 in Ohio, the daughter of William and Ruth (Edwards) Cutter.
Emylou was a school teacher at Hanover Countryside School in Streamwood, Illinois for over 30 years. She loved to sing and was a member of the Village Vocal Chords chorus of the national Harmony, Inc. organization. Emylou was also an avid swimmer, knitter and nature lover, with a special affection for cats.
She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed.
She is survived by nephew Matthew Gymer and his family, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Grace Gymer.
A memorial service for Emylou will be on Thursday, April 5, 2018, at 7:00 p.m., at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street, Geneva with a gathering beginning at 6 pm.
