Duane E. Wickstrom

Duane E. Wickstrom, age 78, of Geneva, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at his home with his loving family by his side.

He was born December 24, 1941, in Cicero, Illinois, the son of Earl and Eleanor (Johnson) Wickstrom.

Duane worked as a salesman in the packaging industry for many years.  He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed golfing, coaching wrestling, and watching Cubs games.  He was a member of a barbershop quartet and was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church of Geneva.  Above all else, he was a loving family man and he will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years Susan (Pierson); children Davin (Amy) of Geneva, Krystin (Michael) Hocevar of New Hampshire, and Steven (Wendy) of Washington; grandchildren Nathaniel Wickstrom, Kathryn and Anna Hocevar, Madeline, and Nora Wickstrom; siblings Caryne (Dan) Hendrickson of Oswego and Jon of New Orleans; and many other dear relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation for Duane will be held Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 9:00 am until the time of his memorial service at 11:00 am at United Methodist Church of Geneva, 211 Hamilton Street, Geneva with Reverend Richard Darr officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the United Methodist Church or the Northern Illinois Food Bank would be appreciated.
