Donna R. Talty

Donna R. Talty, age 66, of Aurora, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2019 at her home with her loving family by her side.

She was born January 15, 1953 in Chicago, the daughter of Raymond and Laverne (McFee) Talty.

Donna received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois and her master’s degree from Northern Illinois University.  Donna worked in various critical care areas of nursing and as a family nurse practitioner.  The driving force of her life was teaching and the love of learning.  She was a loving sister, aunt, and friend who will be dearly missed.

Donna is survived by her sister Colleen Mahnke, niece Caitlin (Paulo) Escobar, nephew Kevin (Talia) Mahnke, great nieces and nephew Keira and Hailey Escobar and Leila and Leo Mahnke all of Washington; and many dear friends, but especially Connie and Diane. 

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service for Donna will be held Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 11:00 am at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva.

Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Aurora.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 29 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at Malone Funeral Home.
